Admission

Darul Ihsan University (DIU) is the first private university in Bangladesh established in 1989 by Darul Ihsan Trust (DIT). It obtained formal approval from the Government of Bangladesh in 1993 under the Private University Act 1992. The University, a brainchild of Late Professor Syed Ali Ashraf (Who was also its founder Vice-Chancellor), is a Unique Academic establishment, the only one of its kind in the country, modern in outlook but faith-based in philosophy.

The University has laid down a well-designed rules and regulations regarding
  • (a) deferred admission,
  • (b) transfer procedure,
  • (c) tuition and other fees,
  • (d) repetition of courses and
  • (d) specialization

For admission into the Masters Programme the applicant must be a graduate with seven points computed according to a logical formula contained in the brochure of the concerned department/institute. A candidate for admission to the M. Phil. programme must have a Master's degree from a recognized University with no third division/class at any level. A student coming from the letter-grade system must have a CGPA of 3.00. For admission in to the Ph. D. programme, a candidate must have an M. Phil. degree from a recognized University of this country or an equivalent Degree from outside the country.

RegistrationThe accepted applicant has to complete all the registration formalities within the specified time set by the University. All fees for admission have to be paid at the time of registration. Payments are to be made at the designated Bank by filling out prescribed deposit slips available at the departmental office.
